Overview

Bilateral robotic knee replacement is a surgical procedure to replace both knees with artificial joints using a robotic arm to assist the surgeon. The procedure is similar to a traditional knee replacement, but the robot provides greater precision. 

Steps:

• A surgeon removes damaged tissue from the knee
• The surgeon makes incisions in the knee
• The surgeon attaches pins to the bone on either side of the knee
• The surgeon uses a robotic arm to cut the bone and position the implant
• The surgeon closes the wounds
